Hello hello,
As we have officially entered the “winter holiday” weeks, the event scene is less busy than it was in the previous weeks, but there are still plenty of activities to enjoy. There’s also Valentine’s Day for those of you who still celebrate this strange tradition the traditional way - not that I’m judging (or perhaps I am, but just a tiny bit).
But, anyway :) Take a look at what’s in store this week, and I hope you find something you like. It seems that winter is here to stay nowadays, so use whatever tools you have in your toolbox to combat the winter blues, people, be it Valentine’s Day or some other event.

Feb. 15: The Future of Social Media - A workshop aimed at creating new connections while discovering more about how we each can make social media platforms a more wholesome and authentic place. Free entry
Feb. 15: Language Café - Practice Spanish or Danish at this café run by Central America Committee. Free entry
Feb. 16-17: Copenhagen Gin Fest - Not the cheapest event out there, but if you’re a gin person you might want to check this one out. 450 DKK
Feb. 16: Free Friday at Cinemateket- An early event on Friday evening with a DJ and a film screening. Free entry
Feb. 16-18: J-Popcon 2024 - A festival (actually a convention) celebrating Japanese pop culture. Starting from 350 DKK
Feb. 17: Language Cafe - This one is another language exchange event, but this time at Studenterhuset. Free entry
Feb. 17: European and Islamic Portraits - A free English guided tour at Davids Samling - a magnificent Islamic arts museum in the heart of Copenhagen. If you don’t have time on 17th, check the museum some other time, it’s free. Free entry
Aarhus — Feb. 17: Anniversary Concert - Aarhus Chamber Orchestra is celebrating its 5th anniversary in the Symphony Hall, and those of you in Aarhus should not miss this wonderful opportunity! Free entry
Feb. 17: Bachata Saturdays - Regular event on Saturdays. Register or drop-in. 50/70 DKK
Feb. 18: Historical City Walk: Queer in Copenhagen - Learn about how Danish society and the city has been affected by sexuality “outside the norm”. 110 DKK
Feb. 18: First Hygge Hike of 2024 - For those of you interested in hiking and meeting new people along the way. 30 DKK
Until May 20: Impressionism and its Women - A magnificent exhibition at Ordrupgaard, it follows Impressionist women’s struggle for a place in art history and considers the imprint their works left on the art scene of the time. With museum ticket: 95/130 DKK
