Spring Vibes & Events for the Next Two Weeks
This edition covers Week 16 and 17.
Spring has taken hold in Copenhagen — the flowers are blooming, and the city feels just a bit lighter (or maybe that’s just me, idk). But the events definitely match the vibe. Regular flea markets, concerts in sunlit courtyards… it’s all happening.
That said, I’ve only managed to squeeze in a handful of events for two weeks this time, since I won’t be anywhere near my computer next week (good riddance! not me, my computer). I wish I could say I’ll also be completely offline, but well... maybe when I take a proper holiday sometime soon. Keep me in your prayers.

EXHIBITION — MFA Degree Show 2025

TALK — Support your multilingual child’s language development
Aimed at parents of children aged 0-6, this talk will help you learn more about language development in multilingual children. (I’d made a mental note to share this event early —when there were still spaces left— because I knew there’d be a lot of interest but I can see there is already a waiting list — but I’m sharing it in any case. TALK — “Untold stories given, a collaborative practice of sharing”
In connection to Fotografisk Center's current exhibition "In the Past We Made History" with the artists Tina Enghoff and Kent Klich a series of events and talks will be held. The talk will be held in a mix of Arabic, Danish and English. It is free to attend the talks after purchasing an entrance ticket to the exhibition.

EXPERIENCE — Wine with a View
Pompette is bringing amazing wine experiences to Nikolaj Tower, where you can enjoy breathtaking views. You’ll explore five carefully selected natural wines. EXPERIENCE — Copenhagen NightGlow
Hot air balloons will glow like giant lanterns at City Hall Square for one special evening between 24–27 April. The event ends with a sound and light show, where the balloons light up to music like a floating orchestra. The exact date depends on the weather.

MUSIC — Byhaven Opening
Byhaven will reopen with a huge party and the first artists who will perform in 2025 are the rapper JEFF3 and the DJ trio Mwah. Keep an eye on this city garden — there’s always free entry, live music from up and coming Danish artists, and plenty of garden seating.

FEST — Cherry Music Festival
Cherry Music and Støberiet present: Cherry Music Festival CPH 2025. When the cherry trees bloom Cherry Music —festival of Japanese contemporary music and sound art— moves back into Støberiet. Check the link to see the line-up.

FEST — Copenhagen Sakura Festival 2025
The Copenhagen Sakura Festival is known for featuring Japanese cultural performances and every year, both traditional and modern Japanese performers take to the stage, amidst the blossoming Sakura trees. It is a sight to see but the whole area gets extremely crowded so beware.
